About the swimwear
What is Raw X Salt swimwear made from?
Our solid colour styles — Intenso (black), Zephyr (sky blue), and Clay — are made from ECONYL®, a regenerated nylon yarn produced from ghost fishing nets, carpet scraps, and industrial nylon waste. Our printed styles — Holiday Blues and Tan Lines — are made from REPREVE® yarn, produced from pre-consumer nylon waste. Both fabrics are soft, seamless, chlorine-resistant, and rated UPF50.
How sustainable is it?
Recycled nylon fibres reduce the global warming impact of conventional nylon by up to 90%. Our manufacturing is audited from yarn to garment. We run on solar, use carbon-neutral delivery, and offset remaining emissions through verified carbon removal projects. It is not greenwashing — it is how we have operated since day one.
Where is Raw X Salt swimwear made?
All swimwear is manufactured in Bali, Indonesia by long-term ethical manufacturing partners. We have worked with the same factories for years and audit their supply chain practices.
Can I mix and match tops and bottoms?
Yes — that is the whole point. Tops and bottoms are sold individually. If you are a size 10 on top and a 12 on the bottom, you can buy each in the right size. All prints and block colours are designed to coordinate across the range.
What cuts and styles are available?
Tops: bandeau, triangle, and more supportive styles. Bottoms: cheeky, mid-coverage, and fuller coverage options — including the Aloha Shortie (our bestselling bottom) and the Shape Shifter (adjustable tie sides). One pieces: the Weekender, Beach Body, and Beach Mesh styles.
What is the difference between Holiday Blues and Tan Lines?
Both are hand-illustrated prints created exclusively for Raw X Salt. Holiday Blues features a blue-toned illustrative design. Tan Lines has a warmer, earthy palette. Neither is a digital pattern — they are original artworks translated into fabric.
What are Intenso, Zephyr, and Clay?
These are our block colour options — solid, not printed. Intenso is black. Zephyr is a soft sky blue. Clay is a warm earth tone. All three use ECONYL® regenerated nylon.

XS, S, M, L, and XL across most styles.
How does the sizing run?

Shipping and returns
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to Australia and selected international destinations. Shipping rates and availability are shown at checkout.
How long does shipping take?
Australian orders: 3 to 7 business days. International orders: times vary by destination and are shown at checkout.
Can I return or exchange my swimwear?

Brand and ethics
Is Raw X Salt an Australian brand?
Yes. We are based on Gumbaynggirr Country in New South Wales, Australia. We have been running independently for 7 years.
Are you a greenwashing brand?
No. We use certified recycled yarns (ECONYL® and REPREVE®), work with audited ethical manufacturers, run on solar energy, and offset emissions we cannot eliminate. Our sustainability practices are built into the business model, not added as marketing.
How do I care for my Raw X Salt swimwear?
Hand wash in cold water with a gentle detergent. Avoid machine washing, tumble drying, and prolonged sun exposure when dry. Rinse after every swim to remove chlorine and salt. Cared for well, the fabric will last many seasons.

How does plastic waste turn into swimwear?
Plastic and nylon waste—including ghost fishing nets—are cleaned, shredded into pellets, then melted and spun into regenerated nylon yarn. It’s as sturdy and silky as virgin nylon, closing the loop on fashion waste and making your swimwear both beautiful and planet-positive.
