ECONYL® regenerated nylon is a product that can help you close the loop. It's made from ocean and land retrieved waste such as ghost fishing nets, carpet flooring, fabric scraps and other industrial plastic. This nylon has potential to be infinitely recyclable when no longer needed by a consumer. We are thankful to be living in a day and age with these infinite possibilities for us as swimwear designers and for you as consumers. ECONYL® reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 80% compared with the material from oil. It's all part of the ECONYL® brand vision to make the world a better place by pioneering closed loop regeneration processes and delivering sustainable products.
REPREVE is famous for making fabrics from plastic bottles. Unfortunately though, Nylon can’t be made from plastic bottles... at least, not yet. But they still have managed to make Nylon eco-friendly; REPREVE nylon with “pre-consumer” waste. Recycling nylon fibers from their own manufacturing saves a lot of energy and makes the best use of resources. And, it results in a fiber that’s high quality, certifiably sustainable and available with performance technologies, too.
Linen is one of the most biodegradable and stylish fabrics in fashion history. It is strong, naturally moth resistant, and made from flax plant fibres. Linen is perfect for warm temperatures, from raiding the jungle to lounging on a tropical island. It absorbs moisture without holding bacteria. In fact, it's actually stronger when wet than dry and becomes softer and more pliable the more it is washed. It just gets better and better with age!
